Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement to Smith Berger, Inc. for Dredge Hurley Fairleads

U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Memphis District, Supply/Services Branch, intends to issue a commercial supply purchase order pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1 on a sole source basis to Smith Berger, Inc. This procurement is for the supply and delivery of the following items:

• Two (2) Double Sheave Deck Mounted Fair Lead (Stock/Part #MD-2618 or F54539-00A)


• Two (2) Sheave, 18" for Fairlead MD-2618 (Stock/Part #D53947-00A)


• Two (2) Pin Sheave Kit MD-18, Includes Dowel Pin and Nut (Stock/Part #D53948-K)


• Two (2) Spacder, Bearing MD-18 (Stock/Part #B53927-005)


• Four (4) Bearing Set, Cup and Cone, MD-18 Sheave (Stock/Part #851535/851546)


• Four (4) Seal (Stock/Part #840737)


• One (1) Freight

The contractor shall deliver the parts to Ensley Engineering Yard Building #8, located at 2915 Riverport Road, Memphis, TN 38109 within 6 months of contract award.

The proposed action will be a Commercial Firm Fixed-Price Supply type contract.

The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332312 with a Small Business size standard in number of employees is 500.

This action will be conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. This notice is posted for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotes.
