Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement to Schottel, Inc., for Dredge Hurley MV Ward Propulsion Parts

U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Memphis District, Supply/Services Branch, intends to issue a commercial supply purchase order pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1 on a sole source basis to Schottel, Inc. This procurement is for the supply and delivery of the following items: four (4) O-ring, two (2) Liner, six (6) O-ring (replaces 7117663), one (1) Spacer, three (3) Ring, six (6) O-ring, three (3) Mechanical Seal, three (3) O-ring (replaces PN 1117724), two (2) Locking Element, and one (1) shipping.

The contractor shall deliver the parts to Ensley Engineering Yard Building #8, located at 2915 Riverport Road, Memphis, TN 38109 within 3 months of contract award.

The proposed action will be a Commercial Firm Fixed-Price Supply type contract.

The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339991 with a Small Business size standard in number of employees is 500.

This action will be conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. This notice is posted for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested firms must identify their interest and provide documentation demonstrating their capability (include detailed technical information and other technical literature) demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirements by e-mailing Contract Specialist Kyrrith Jones at Kyrrith.D.Jones@usace.army.mil no later than 10:00 a.m. Central Time on April 11, 2023.

A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice.

Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. If potential offerors choose to submit information, past performance and references regarding capability to perform these services must be provided along with the statement of capability. The Government will not award a contract based on the information received, nor reimburse participants for information they provide. Information provided is strictly voluntary. The Government reserves the right not to compete the proposed purchase order based on responses received to this notice. This item may be awarded without further notice.
