The primary purpose is the training, providing work experience, and placement of students involved in the welding program. The welding instructors will reinforce and support the Center’s Career Development Services System (CDSS)plan throughout a student’s tenure in their program. At all times instructors will teach, mentor, and model good employability skills and work habits. Instruction and discussion of customer service will be included in daily tasks and assignments. Instructors will consistently teach the impact of actions and behaviors on employability so that students will come to view themselves as desirable candidates in today’s workforce.
