Are the standing seam metal roof clips required to secure to the

plywood sheathing on top of metal deck or secure to the metal

deck? (This determines fastener type and length).

Question
A1, system #2 B&C areas say 1⁄4” slope, A2 says 1/8”, area C

doesn’t indicate slope and spec calls for 1⁄4” slope. Is 1⁄4” slope

desired for all tapered insulation?
Answer Section B and C have no slope in the deck, so the taper system

will need to be 1⁄4” to achieve a 1⁄4” total slope. The project

manual requires correction specifying the correct sections

and will be updated in the Addendum #1.

Section A is a 3/12 slope metal roof.
