Notes
It is the intent of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) to procure a contract for Construction for redevelopment of the Eagleton Ballpark. This ITB is for the removal of existing ballpark facilities and equipment, and construction of five (5) new ballfields, related grading, utilities, parking and drives, fencing, field houses, press boxes, concessions, dugouts facilities and equipment, along with alteration to 2 existing youth ballfields.


References to brand names, numbers or other descriptions particular to specific brand products are made to establish a required level of quality, and are not intended to exclude other products of that level. Submit substitution requests via the process outlined in this bid by the Questions deadline.


The Bid Invitation and all Bid Attachments may be obtained through Blount County's online bidding system at https://blounttn.ionwave.net/login.aspx . If not currently registered with Blount County, v endors are encouraged to register under the Supplier Registration tab and submit their response through the online bidding system at this same link. Manual (hard copy) bid responses are acceptable.


If submitting a hard copy bid response, it shall be submitted to Blount County Purchasing, 385 Court St., Blount County Courthouse Room 319, Maryville, TN 37804. Bid respo nses, whether electronic or manual (hard copy) submissions, must contain all required information and documentation including, but not limited to, Response Attachments, Bid Attributes, and Bid Lines and be submitted no later than the Response Deadline. Bid responses are not accepted via email or facsimile. Bidders must allow ample time to submit their response. The system does not allow entries beyond the Response Deadline Date / Time.

Section 00 73 00 page 5 of 8 in your specs, under 1.18 Property Insurance (Builder’s Risk) speak of Contractor to provide property insurance and to see Attachments G and H of the Blount County Attachments. I have looked in the spec book and all documents online but do not find a G or H attachment. I do see the sample COI. Please advise.
Answer Please disregard the reference to Attachments G and H. The documents referred to include the Certificate of Liability Insurance (Sample) and the Blount County Purchasing Department Insurance Checklist listed at the end of the Table of Contents. The COI sample is on the "Attachments" tab, and the Insurance Checklist is no longer needed.

Question
Some of the fields get an owner provided logo. Are we to install or the owner. If we are responsible for instillation can a detail be provided.
Answer The logo is to be installed as part of the synthetic turf system. A draft detail has been provided. Please see Response 40 in Addendum 5 on the "Attachments" tab for additional information.

Question
At most of the fields we are to install a low CMU wall and backstop netting. We cannot find a good cross section detailing that wall and its footer can one be provided. Can a cross section be provided so we can better size its footer.
Answer The detail for the low CMU wall can be found in the architectural plans. The low walls at the backstop netting are similar to the Fieldhouse low walls at each batting area. For the low walls follow A1.6 Wall Type C, 7/A2.4, & 4/S1.1. For portions of the low wall where steel poles are located follow 10/C8.6.

Question
A detail on L2.2 shows an elevated boardwalk we can not find on the drawings where this detail applies. Can it be clarified if there is indeed a boardwalk.
Answer
Please see Response 13 in Addendum 4: The boardwalk occurs beyond the left field fence of field 2 where the asphalt path crosses over the drainage channel. The location of the boardwalk has been clarified on the C5.2, C6.2 and L1.2 drawings.

Specification section 32 92 00- 8 3.5B Hydroseeding: The drawings do not show where hydroseeding is required. Please provide the exact locations where hydroseeding is required.
Answer Hydroseeding as the preferred method for application in all areas noted for seeding, including the bioretention/wetland area and turf grass areas.

Drawings C5.3 & C8.7: Please provide details and specifications on what type of edging/curb is required for the paver system where it meets a soft surface (synthetic turf, sod, seeded lawn, etc.).
Answer Due to the interlocking nature of the PaveDrain system and the non-traffic loading use, edging/curb is not required. The PaveDrain base section does extend 4 inches beyond the paver perimeter in this condition.

Drawing L1.2: Code L4 (sodded outfield) is shown behind field #2, but not in any of the actual outfield areas. Please clarify if this area should be L3 (seeded lawn).
Answer The area shown behind field #2 coded as L4 refers to the side slopes of the detention pond and is intended to be sodded.
